Dufour Yard starts 2021 with the launch of 2 new models: the Dufour 470 and the Dufour 61, after the still new Dufour 530.
The Dufour 470 symbolises the renewal of the brand, in particular with a 4-cabin layout that so far did not exist on the market. She is also innovative through her design and her racy, “powerful” aspect, which it totally embraces. The Dufour 470 demonstrates the shipyard’s determination to always offer innovations while drawing inspiration from Dufour’s long history and expertise. She also symbolises the brand’s revival, which has already begun with the Dufour 530, and she benefits from our shipyard’s DNA while offering a touch of modernity. The Dufour 470 integrates all the essential elements of our brand: a cockpit that is entirely closed, telescopic davits, or a large bathing platform. Everything is done for the owner to feel at ease; the engine compartment has also been loaded with innovations.
As for the interior, it remains true to Dufour’s DNA with her large cabin and balanced layout. This new model, like all the others, is available in three versions: Easy, Ocean or Performance, to meet every sailing requirement. Whichever version you choose, you will experience the beautiful sensations for which DUFOUR is renowned.
Much more than a sailing boat
In terms of exterior features, the Dufour 470 incorporates all the brand’s essentials: - The fully enclosed cockpit, the outdoor galley with plancha and sink - The optional built-in telescopic davits - A huge swim platform with integrated swim ladder. Circulation in the cockpit is greatly facilitated. This new model stands out thanks to a new shell design that allows to refine the silhouette while keeping impressive interior volumes. The Dufour 470 has a new refined hull design based on the model of modern racing boats, which allows for greater sailing stability and improved maritime performance
The interior is faithful to Dufour DNA with its large galley at the front of the saloon. The versatility of this model lies in the interior layout of the saloon, with the possibility of having a front or longitudinal galley. The living rooms and cabins are well balanced and enjoy lots of natural daylight.
This new ambassador for Dufour expertise belongs to the class of superyachts. With a very pleasing hull for sailing on the open ocean, two different drafts, the absolute comfort of the cockpit and interior layout, the extreme width of the saloon and a forward galley that is very functional when cruising, this new flagship will create a sensation with her launch at the start of 2021. “This is the company’s new flagship, marking the increasingly important presence that Dufour has taken in the world of top-of-the-range yachting. While we have kept everything that made up the quality of the Dufour 63, we have focused even more on the marine performance and robustness of the new Dufour 61. In terms of layouts, we have chosen to go for two options that will favour her use by owners rather than charter companies. One sees the galley integrated into the saloon for young families. The other, for an owner or for a couple accompanied by a skipper and a hostess, which includes a space dedicated to the crew, a fairly discreet galley and a huge living space dedicated to the captain, whether accompanied or not. Beyond this quality of comfort on board, robustness is one of the boat’s strongest features that can also show off her fine seakeeping qualities.” Romain Motteau
A superb flagship for a simple and instinctive sailing with geiune sensations.
The Dufour 61 was designed and built in the tradition of the Dufour range. Developed to provide simple instinctive sailing, exciting and efficient, this new model combines luxury and simplicity. The Dufour 61 combines aesthetics and practicality down to the smallest detail. The manoeuvres are incorporated under the teak deck to free up space. For the first time, a carbon fibre hoop has been incorporated into the deck structure. The construction and layout of this model have been devised to guarantee the boat’s robustness along with comfort on deck. The bulwark is directly integrated in the boat’s hull. And the coach roof has been designed to leave room for a broad foredeck enhancing both style and comfort.
The layout with forward galley interconnects the different living spaces. The longitudinal port galley integrates very smart fittings and gives the feeling of being in a Chef’s kitchen. This layout creates room for a large warm saloon.
