Edgewater, Fla. (Oct. 24, 2019) — With a bold new model making its world premiere, an increased presence on-water at the Bahia Mar, and twenty boats on display across two locations, Boston Whaler plans to make a big impression on visitors to the 2019 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. What’s more, Whaler has announced that a special surprise unveiling will take place at the show.

“We’re thrilled to introduce a new model that heralds the return of adventurous overnighting: the all-new 405 Conquest,” said Boston Whaler President Nick Stickler. “We also have a surprise in store that we know customers are going to enjoy.”

The 405 Conquest will be a major highlight for Whaler fans, as it marks the next evolution for the ruggedly sophisticated Conquest series. The 405, aka the SUV of the Sea, delivers “no excuses” performance capability paired with luxury touches that encourage entertaining and overnighting. Versatility is at an all-time high thanks to design innovations and smart amenities that make the boat equally well suited to epic offshore fishing runs and comfortable multi-day cruises. Below deck, a robust new cabin features a private master stateroom and guest sleeping quarters, an enclosed head with separate shower, a convenient galley and more.

Meanwhile, the Conquest’s new hull, redesigned from the keel up, delivers impressive planing and greater stability than ever, and the optional Seakeeper gyro-stabilization system virtually eliminates boat roll. Underway, the standard quad 300-hp Mercury Verado engines with optional Joystick Piloting provide impressive power and control.

The Boston Whaler lineup will be well represented in Fort Lauderdale, with a variety of models open to step aboard including six NMMA Innovation Award winners: the 160 Super Sport, 230 Outrage, 230 Vantage, 320 Vantage, 345 Conquest featuring the Dynamic Cabin System, and 350 Realm. Visitors can also check out cutting-edge technology including Raymarine’s new augmented reality navigation systems, and Whaler Watch remote visibility and control.

With the recent grand opening of the Brunswick Boat Group Technology Center, housed on Boston Whaler's Edgewater campus, the company is primed to introduce even more boating breakthroughs in the future. The center is home to the industry’s most formidable boat product development, engineering and design teams.

“As ever, we are committed to enhancing boaters’ time on the water with purposeful innovations that lend convenience, comfort, ease and versatility. We’re excited for customers to spend time with our lineup and see what we’ve been up to at Whaler,” said Stickler. “The Fort Lauderdale Boat Show provides a unique platform on the world stage, and we intend to make the most of it.”

The 2019 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show runs from October 30 to November 3. Boston Whaler’s displays will be located on-water at the Bahia Mar, Green Zone, Dock C #300-314 and indoors at the Fort Lauderdale Convention Center, Booth #2037.
