Marinanow closes two rounds for a total of €1.2M
The online platform for Mediterranean berth and boat bookings raised convertible notes for 700000 euro and a new equity round for a further 500000.

Arzachena (ITALY), August 1st 2017 -Marinanow , the online platform for booking boats and berths throughout the Mediterranean, announced the closure of two rounds raising a total of €1.2M, in part through a convertible note for 700 000 euro and in part through a new equity round for a further 500 000. The founders, the incubator The Net Value and the Fund United Ventures One, are now joined by the IT firm Abinsula as well various private investors.
“The new injection of capital will help us further develop Marinanow with a focus towards the SaaS platform aimed at the business side of the market as well as consolidating our position in the Mediterranean where we are already working with 500 of the 1300 marinas and 9000 boats both sailboats and motorboats.” said Alessandro Sestini, CEO and cofounder of Marinanow “In 2016 we managed over 10 000 requests on the platform and this was a strong signal for us to further invest in automating the booking process as well as investing in marketing, sales and promotions for the 2017 season.”
In the last year, Marinanow has signed important agreements with the marina chains ACI Marinas Croatia and Marinedi as well as with ancillary services like Navionics, Nautica Italiana and ANSEuropa.
There are two major developments to the software: Marinanow Manager, a management software, also available as an app for iOS and Android, that lets charter companies and marinas receive booking requests online through the Marinanow marketplace as well as directly from their own sites using a Marinanow booking widget integrated on their site, and; Marinanow Agent, a site dedicated to travel agencies, service agencies, tour operators and hotel concierges that want to book boats, yachts, RIBs or sea excursions for their clients.
