After introducing the Ovni 400 during the Grand Pavois 2019 in La Rochelle (France), the French Alubat shipyard will present her little sister as a World Premiere: the Ovni 370. This new design, jointly signed by Mortain-Mavrikios and CBA design offices, has already seduced new customers.

Indeed, this new model has been designed in the same philosophy as the OVNI 400. She is answering to the challenge initiated by the shipyard: to design a « small » 100% aluminium lifting keel (centreboard) sailboat, integrating the design criteria of long range cruising (A category certification).

As a successor of the emblematic Ovni 365 and Ovni 395 (the most manufactured models by the shipyard since 1973), the DNA is preserved. The Ovni 370 is adapted to all cruising programmes including the ice exploration. With her panoramic roof, this yacht offers comfort on board underlined by a lot of light, in addition to a great outward and toward visibility.

In the Deck Saloon version, sea watches can be done from the inside, seated at the chart table or at the saloon table. The communication between the interior and exterior is safe thanks to an ergonomic passage. The double helm station in this wide and clear cockpit facilitates manoeuvring. The Ovni 370 also benefitsfrom a new hullshape, with her inverted and rounded bow, which provides a nice living area and an optimization of the pitching movement in high seas (often responsible of uncomfort at sea) and good performances are expected.

Bi-rudder with a light centerboard (260kg) and a bilge hull, this original and functional sailboat is dynamic and stable. Ideal for single handed sailing, she is fitted with two double cabins, forward and aft to port as standard, and the aft starboard room being mainly intended for technical equipment and storage. In a classic version (central saloon) or a deck saloon version (saloon on starboard), the OVNI 370 satisfies the different ways of experiencing long range cruising.

With this new OVNI 370, the Alubat shipyard confirms the desire to provide the best possible yacht to all those who want an aluminium sailboat offering comfort, seaworthy quality, volume and performance.
