Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour 2021, boom in registrations

Milan, July 14th 2021 - The Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour 2021 will have a marked international character: the wish of the Organizing Committee, led by Sailing Series International and Marina Militare, has become reality and it is certified by the registrations, and by the many requests for information, received during the last few weeks.

An animated flow following the introduction of the Beneteau Figaro 3 as boat for the offshore races for the next three editions of the event, a choice that enhances the offshore format, chosen by World Sailing and Eurosaf to assign the 2021 Worlds and European titles of the new Double Handed Offshore discipline.

To date, at least thirteen crews representing nine Countries are expected on the starting line of the offshore legs: Belgium, France, Germany, Japan, England, Ireland, Italy, South Africa and the USA. The British crews are expected to be three, while the United States, which announced through the institutional website the imminent start of a selection trial destined to end in few days, will be present with two teams.

A membership which, should it be confirmed to exceed the ten crews, will put the Organizing Committee in the position to reorganize the format of the European Offshore Championship, coinciding with the first week of regattas valid for the Navy Nastro Rosa Tour 2021 (27 August-5 September from Genoa to Naples with stops in Civitavecchia and Gaeta). In addition to the Federations that have communicated their participation, there are at least three others strongly interested: the idea, if there are sixteen members, is to separate the fleet of the Europeans into two batteries of eight crews, useful for promoting the first five at the final regatta, planned in Naples which, 300 miles long, will sail along a course with highly iconic passages.

Seeing the attention of professionals and enthusiasts grow day by day is the viaticum that repays the organization of the considerable effort made to deliver an innovative, expendable and competitive event to the participants: the aspects to be considered are many and the working group constituted to meet different needs, such as starting to lay the foundations for next year's edition, it is expanding day by day.

We remind you that the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour 2021, despite its name, is an inclusive event, open to mixed crews and conceived to embrace the various disciplines of competitive sailing, ranging from offshore sailing to dynamic kiteboard tricks, passing through some stadium racing aboard the very fast Diam 24 catamarans. The event, which will bring the protagonists from Genoa to Naples and from Brindisi to Venice, will animate the various stage venues with a regatta village useful for getting in touch with the world of the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour 2021.
