PC DESIGN conquista il premio Diporthesis 2016

The second edition of the Diporthesis international competition for young pleasure boat designers, organized by As.Pro.Na.Di (Association of Designers of Yachting) in collaboration with UCINA Confindustria Nautica, ended with the prizegiving at the Teatro del Mare within the Genoa Boat Show.

The Panel declared the M/Y “ITALIA” project by PC DESIGN winner for the motor boats category. Therefore the positive path of the designers Matteo Cappellazzo and Mattia Piro continues; their yacht and cruising vessel and interior design studio specializes in the pleasure craft and luxury sectors but also in the professional and commercial field and in the architectural and residential area.

A masterpiece of engineering and design, the 25 m “ITALIA” also exhibits high performance that turns heads as it speeds by at 50+ knots. This hyper yacht transforms from sleek speedster to pure water play sculpture as two sets of gull wing doors open to reveal jet skis and open up a chic lounging area. A sophisticated arrangement of bar and sofa seating surround a central pool and well-equipped galley. Cabin and bath design are simple, chic, and beautifully lit. The cockpit is modern and streamlined, with a dash displaying digital data. Long windows on top of the deck display engines below while horizontal windows yield natural light below.

Matteo Cappellazzo, co-founder and chief designer of PC DESIGN: «The exhibition and the presentation of our projects in a charming venue like Genoa Boat Show highlight a result that is very satisfactory in itself, enriching it and making it even more unique.».

«Our course goes on, thanks to the competition and to the association we could take a few more steps forward.» - Mattia Piro, co-founder and chief designer of PC DESIGN, comments - «We hope to deliver “ITALIA” to her future owner as soon as possible.».
