Posidonia Blue 2017, the first tour within sustainable nautical mobility

POSIDONIA BLUE  is an Eco-international event that proposes a focus oriented to fully explore issues of sustainable boating in order to think, live and experience the sea while respecting the environment. Electric propulsion, peer-to-peer economy, boat sharing, technological innovation, experts analysis, new products presentation and emerging ideas will be the focus of the new project that will be developed from 2017 in various European stages within international events.

A few months ago, the debut of the first Italian electric motor eco- sailing boat "Franci naviga", Hytem project, took place during the Posidonia Green Festival in Santa Margherita Ligure, organized by Posidonia Green Project.

Daniele Bossi, Hytem director, shared with some guests of the festival the beautiful experience of silently sailing, respecting the environment in the wonderful scenery of the Marine Protected Area of Portofino, using the innovative electric propulsion - one of the most practical, innovative and daily aspects of “green living”. The presentation created great interest up to the point of signing the first official agreement within the Portofino AMP in order to enhance and reward the electrically powered boats and of setting forth the birth of the new Posidonia BLUE project.

The project aims to catalyze the transition towards nautical sustainability by creating changing agents among enterprises, institutions, opinion leaders, managers, professionals and citizens. It wants to be a point of reference at international level in the communication of best environmental practices, social cohesion and participation.

Posidonia BLUE creates spaces in order to spread knowledge and practices that promote the defense of natural coastal environment and, at the same time, creating opportunities for sustainable economic, cultural and touristic development. It is intended as a laboratory for sustainable solutions for the green and blue economy that creates a range of experimentations, reflections and promotions connecting, n an innovative way, the fields of ecology, sustainable development and boating.
