F.lli Razeto & Casareto nominated for DAME Award

Founded in 1920, the Sori-based company which specialises in designing and manufacturing hardware and handles for boats, yachts, superyachts and commercial vessels, is preparing to show at the upcoming METSTRADE in Amsterdam, the leading international nautical accessories trade event. F.lli Razeto & Casareto will be bringing a range of products that quite literally has no equal in its sector. A fact attested to by the company’s success not only in terms of sales but also recent awards and nominations garnered by the products it is launching for the 2018 nautical season.
The first of the 2018 products to debut was the Soft Close Flush Lock which won the ADI – UCINA Salone Nautico 2017 Accessory Prize at the recent Genoa International Boat Show. This innovative magnetic locking system for soft close drawers delivers exactly the kind of safe locking required to keep drawers securely closed even under challenging navigation-induced stress. Put simply, a powerful magnet in the Soft Close Flush Lock releases a catch held in place by a spring in the drawer when the latter reaches the end of its closing slide, locking it securely.
The ADI – UCINA Salone Nautico 2017 Accessories Prize was awarded to the system by an authoritative jury headed by Luisa Bocchietto, President of the WDO (World Design Organization).
“F.lli Razeto & Casareto is an authentic emblem of the very best of Made in Italy,” declared President Bocchietto when presenting the prize. “Because every year, it presents our jury with products that stand out for the quality of the original, innovative ideas behind them and in terms of the finished objects which epitomise the ‘well-made’ concept. It is no coincidence that this is the fourth time since I have headed the jury for this prize that I have had the pleasure of presenting it to this company.”
Both the Soft Close Flush Lock concept and the finished product are of huge practical value as they eliminate a common problem encountered aboard boats fitted with soft close drawers. This fact is attested to by the system’s selection as a finalist in the prestigious DAME AWARD, which is presented each year at the METS – Amsterdam (14-16 November 2017) for the best nautical accessories. The Soft Close Flush Lock will be on display on the F.lli Razeto & Casareto stand (stand number: 01.647).

An exclusive patent makes for very easy installation, use and maintenance as well as seamless integration with domotics and other ambience management systems aboard. Equally they can be controlled using a dedicated app from any of the owner’s mobile devices.
