Catana Group, known for its customer-driven innovation and creator of the game-changing Bali Catamaran brand, is once again working to reshape the industry. This time, the company is proud to announce the launch of the YOT 36 Electric, developed in collaboration with its Hungarian dealer, Power & Sail.
Power & Sail operates on Lake Balaton, Central Europe’s largest lake, where regulations allow only electric motorboats. Leveraging its deep expertise in adapting vessels for electric propulsion, Power & Sail worked closely with Catana to design a YOT catamaran ideally suited for these conditions.
Catana supported the project with in-house resources, ensuring seamless integration of the latest electric systems, while Power and Sail Hungary took care of the phisdical installation and the certification. Together, the partners selected the X Series motors from ePropulsion to power the first YOT 36 Electric, delivering a reliable, efficient, and eco-friendly solution.
The result is the YOT 36 Electric, a catamaran that combines Catana’s innovation heritage with sustainable technology, offering customers a premium boating experience in sheltered waters with zero emissions.
Powered by twin 40 kW motors, the YOT 36 Electric reaches a top speed of 17 km/h. At a comfortable cruising speed of 9.5 km/h, it delivers a range of more than 80 km, and when traveling at 7 km/h, the range extends to around 140 km.
“Customer feedback and local expertise drive our innovation,” said Boris Compagnon, the Sales and Marketing Director of Catana Group. “The YOT 36 Electric is proof of what’s possible when we listen, adapt, and partner with specialists like Power & Sail.”
With this launch, Catana and Power & Sail continue their mission to set new standards in yachting—this time leading the way with sustainable electric catamarans.
