A symbol of CATANA GROUP’s ambition in the motor catamaran segment through its new brand YOT, the Group has just taken delivery of its new factory in Aveiro (Portugal), which will produce all of the brand’s outboard and inboard models.

The first two outboard models, the YOT 36 and YOT 41, have already been launched commercially, while the first inboard model, the YOT 53, will roll off the production lines in a few months.

This new factory, covering 25,000 m² on a 60,000 m² plot, has been entirely designed around the specific requirements of catamaran manufacturing. It offers a modern working environment that safeguards both people and the environment. The project required an investment of over €30 million.

The ramp-up of production lines for YOT brand models — in a controlled, high-quality and efficient environment — is now the main objective of this new production unit.

Determined not to miss this key industrial milestone, the Group is committed to acquiring the best talent to ensure the success of this project. Within this context, the Group is proud to appoint Sylvain BODIN, with his extensive industrial and nautical experience, to lead its new Aveiro factory.

An engineer by training, Sylvain BODIN, 47, has 21 years of experience within a major global nautical group, where he led significant industrial and supply chain projects both in France and internationally. For the past four years, up until now, he had been assigned by his group to a motorboat factory in Portugal during a period of strong growth.

His experience and seamless integration into the local culture will be a major asset to support an already young and talented team, with the Aveiro factory already employing 150 people.
