The Southern Wind SW108 “Kiboko 4” has won the “Best Sail 24m-40m” category at the 2026 International Superyacht Society (ISS) Awards in Fort Lauderdale. Measuring 32.87 metres LOA and 35.51 metres including the bowsprit, she is the second hull in Southern Wind’s SW108 series, following “Gelliceaux”.

The award was collected by Martino Majno, co-director of Nauta, the studio responsible for the deck and interior design. “I had the privilege of receiving this award for ‘Kiboko 4’ here at the ISS Awards ceremony. It recognises the hard work, passion and dedication that went into this project. It was a pleasure and an honour to accept it on behalf of the whole team,” Majno said.

The owner’s brief called for a yacht combining sailing performance, comfort and versatility. She was built by Southern Wind with naval architecture by Farr Yacht Design, while the general design is by Nauta and Southern Wind with Farr Yacht Design.

On the exterior, Nauta applied its GT styling: clean lines, a low-profile coachroof and a deck layout arranged for both cruising and racing. The transom opens to form a beach club and houses a tender garage. The decks are laid in natural wood from sustainably managed forests.

The Mediterranean-inspired interior combines natural light, pale oak and warm-toned materials. The layout has four guest cabins, including a private owner’s suite forward.

“We wanted to create something that embodied the owner’s vision of combining performance and aesthetics, while offering the versatility needed for both the thrill of racing and the calm of cruising,” said Massimo Gino, CEO of Nauta. “The result is a yacht that feels at home in any setting, whether racing or at anchor in a quiet cove.”

“Kiboko 4” has a maximum beam of 7.51 metres and a draft of 4.0 to 6.2 metres with her lifting keel. Lightship displacement, including extras, is 76,000 kg.
