Galeon 570 Sky: fold-down balconies, fold-away upper helm
Galeon has picked the 2026 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show for the first public outing of the 570 Sky. The builder pitches this 57ft 7in motor yacht as a sports yacht with the comfort, flexibility and cruising range of a larger boat. The profile takes its cue from a coupé, and two features set it apart straight away: an opening sunroof over the main helm and, above it, a second helm station that appears only when it is needed.
The most recognisable element is still the Beach Mode Package, one of Galeon’s trademark solutions. Balconies fold down on both sides. Once open, they take the usable beam from 15ft 10in to 22ft 6in and create a platform directly above the water. Sliding windows on either side and a convertible bar built into the port-side galley link the interior with the cockpit and the swim platform.
The galley is no back-of-house affair here. It comes with a starboard-side sofa, a full-size fridge, an induction hob, an oven with grill and microwave functions, an extractor hood and a stainless-steel sink. A sliding window to port opens onto the balcony and the bar, so whoever is cooking stays part of what is happening outside.
Aft, the 570 Sky comes in three configurations. The Skipper Aft Cabin provides dedicated quarters for one crew member. The optional Carousel Mode Package turns the aft cockpit into a multi-purpose area with a hydraulically opening tender garage, a rotating aft seat, a storage locker and an adaptable table. Forward, a sofa and large sunpads make up a lounging area, with plenty of stowage beneath the pads.
The sunroof gives the main helm an open-air feel. A dedicated skipper’s door leads straight onto the side deck to make manoeuvring easier. The upper helm is where the design tries to combine a flybridge with a coupé silhouette: the centre console folds electrically, rising when needed and disappearing when not. Driver and passenger seats, the option to helm standing up and a built-in fridge complete the station.
The interior follows the Atlantic Design Package by Insitu & Partners Studio, created exclusively for this model and matched by coordinated exterior finishes. The accommodation comprises three cabins, master, forward and guest, served by two bathrooms. The master cabin has a curved ceiling and a wooden headboard, while wood detailing and leather carry through to the guest cabins.
Power comes from Volvo Penta shaft drives, with four packages on offer, ranging from twin D11-670s at 670hp each to twin D13-900s delivering a combined 1,800hp. A 581-gallon fuel capacity is meant for longer passages. According to the builder, integrated wind tunnels manage the airflow around the yacht and reduce lateral movement, which benefits both onboard comfort and handling.
The 570 Sky is on display for the first time in Fort Lauderdale.
