Isa Yachts, part of Palumbo Superyachts, has presented Isa Poseidon 86 metres, a new project in the Isa Large Yacht Collection, the yard’s line of large custom superyachts. The yacht has a length overall of 86 metres and a beam of 12.80 metres. Enrico Gobbi - Team for Design is responsible for both exterior and interior design, while the naval architecture was developed by the Isa Yachts technical department.

“With 14 ISA superyachts currently under construction, we are consolidating our presence at the very top of the market, a segment in which we intend to keep investing decisively,” said Giuseppe Palumbo, sole director of Palumbo Superyachts. “Poseidon 86 metres reflects this direction: a project with a strong personality, built on a solid engineering base, which confirms our ability to offer increasingly elaborate and distinctive custom solutions.”

The profile is defined by a high, slightly curved bow and a superstructure set well aft. The arch that identifies the yard’s yachts has been made slimmer so that it does not interfere with the glazing or the views from inside. The side air intakes and some of the superstructure shapes borrow from sports car design.

At the stern, the platforms open to reveal the beach club on the lower deck. Fold-down side platforms extend the space, which includes a sea-facing lounge, a bar and a glass-sided whirlpool tub. A corridor leads amidships to the wellness area, with a gym, sauna, steam room and treatment and massage rooms; two further balconies can be opened onto the sea.

The main deck aft is taken up by a T-shaped pool combining a whirlpool section with a larger body of water. It is enclosed by a glass structure framed by an element inspired by a sports car spoiler. Inside, the main deck has a saloon with a lounge area, cinema and dining, with separate circulation for guests and crew. The aft decks are arranged on several levels, with railings designed to keep sightlines clear and deck surfaces that taper towards the stern.

The upper deck is reserved for the owner. The suite has 360-degree windows, a study, a dressing room and a bathroom with a double shower and bathtub, and opens directly onto the foredeck. This area has a large longitudinal pool that can also be used for swimming, along with sunbathing areas, and can serve as a touch-and-go helipad. Aft on the same deck are an indoor lounge with sofas and an outdoor area with a table for 14.

The sky lounge is built into the top deck under a roof that recalls the cockpit of a sports car. It contains a third panoramic lounge and a Jacuzzi.

Two interior layouts are planned, with six or seven cabins for 12 or 14 guests. The crew of 18 has 10 cabins.

The hull is high-tensile steel and the superstructure aluminium, with a full-load draught of 3.60 metres. Power comes from two MTU 16V4000M63L engines rated at 2,240 kW each. According to the yard, the yacht will have a top speed of 17 knots, a cruising speed of 14 knots and an expected range of around 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. There are two garages: one forward for the rescue tender and toys, and one amidships, up to 9.5 metres long, which takes the place of the gym.

Isa Yachts is currently building a 100-metre superyacht that will become the yard’s new flagship. Palumbo Superyachts also includes the Columbus, Mondomarine and Extra brands.
