Fim will bring a countess and three queens to the Genoa International Boat Show. The countess is the new 580 Contessa, the yard's flagship and the first model in its sport-fly range, which the Italian public sees for the first time after its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival. The queens are the three models of the Regina range, on show in full: the 340, 440 and 500. The 66th show takes place in Genoa from 1 to 6 October 2026.
According to the yard, the two names recall a habit in yachting and automotive design of giving models evocative names, so that each has an identity and is instantly recognisable.
The yard developed the exterior design of the 580 Contessa with Design aLot and the interiors with Studio Nerocardinale. It describes the project through harmonious proportions, attention to detail and spaces that change over the course of the day. "For us, elegance means above all balance, harmony and naturalness. Our boats are designed as places to live in, able to accompany different moments of the day and to adapt to the owner's lifestyle," said Manuela Barcella, co-founder of Fim.
The show fits into a 2026-2027 period in which the yard plans to widen its range step by step. The Luxury Tender Division, recently created and dedicated to custom boats for superyachts, sits alongside the Contessa range, and the 400 Contessa Coupé is due in spring 2027. The model is still in development. It will be compact and sporty, with a layout the yard describes as rare in its segment, and it will take the Contessa vision to new market segments.
"The two-year period 2026-2027 will be important to continue our development, reach new markets and strengthen the brand's international presence, staying true to the values and vision that guide each of our projects," said Corrado Piccinelli, founder and CEO of Fim.
Fim, short for Fabbrica Italiana Motoscafi, was founded in 2019 and is based in Cividate al Piano, in the province of Bergamo. Its founding partners are Corrado Piccinelli, Manuela Barcella and investor partner Vannis Marchi, co-founder of the fashion brand Liu Jo. The boats are sold through dealers in Europe, North and Central America and the Mediterranean basin.
