A yacht's wellness area usually sits on the lower deck. On Clear Waves, a 70-metre megayacht project that Benetti presented in Monaco on 24 September 2026, it moves up to the upper deck and fills the Glass Dome, a 400-square-metre glazed structure spread over two decks. Its 360-degree view runs from sunrise to sunset and on to the starry sky at night.
The project is a collaboration between Benetti, the studio Luca Dini Design & Architecture and The Longevity Suite. "If Benetti's Oasis Deck rethought the relationship between yacht and sea, with Clear Waves the yacht looks to the sky and to people. The starting point is the person and, in particular, the principles of longevity," said Sebastiano Vida, Head of Product at Benetti. The approach rests on five pillars: environment, movement, social connection, the mental and spiritual dimension, and technology.
According to the yard, the whole boat is conceived around the physical and mental wellbeing of the people on board, with purified air, attention to comfort during sleep and a colour scheme studied for different times of the day. Framed by natural plants, the Glass Dome is planned with relaxation areas, a food and beverage island, hot and cold water circuits and treatment technologies.
The dome and its energy
Benetti describes the Glass Dome as energy self-sufficient. More than 60% of its surface incorporates translucent photovoltaic panels, and the low-emissivity glass blocks infrared radiation and protects against solar rays. Air is filtered continuously, and temperature is controlled by a direct-expansion air-conditioning system with Capacity on Demand technology. The geometry of the dome itself regulates ventilation, creating natural recirculation through a chimney effect, supplemented by floor-level air inlets that avoid direct draughts.
"We conceived the spaces as a true living ecosystem, where the magnificence of the Glass Dome dissolves the boundary between people, environment and sea," said Luca Dini.
Treatments
The Longevity Suite contributes a programme that combines personalised assessments with biohacking and recovery technologies, including Cryosuite Total Body, Dry Floating, Near Infrared Therapy, hydrogen-oxygen therapy and a Revital Chamber. "The aim of this collaboration is to go beyond the traditional concept of wellness on board and turn the time spent on the yacht into an opportunity to continue a path of prevention, awareness, recovery and self-care," said Luigi Caterino, CEO of The Longevity Suite.
Propulsion and systems
The project specifies a hybrid configuration with a dual-fuel system, ready for HVO biofuel and methanol, already validated by Lloyd's Register and developed with Meccano Engineering. A Power Management System coordinates energy production, storage and consumption on board. The more than 250 square metres of solar panels have a capacity of up to 120 kWh, and the plant is completed by heat recovery, water treatment and emissions control systems.
Vida links the project to Green Route, the environmental sustainability research programme Benetti has pursued for more than twenty years: "If sustainability means taking care of the environment, longevity means taking care of the person over time."
