Next Yacht Group will be at the Monaco Yacht Show, held in Port Hercule from 23 to 26 September 2026, with a new model from each of its two brands. At the 35th edition of the show, AB Yachts will give the world premiere of its first model developed with BRABUS. Maiora will display the first unit of the M|38 in the water. The group describes the 37-metre yacht as the flagship project of the new M Line.
The BRABUS - AB Yachts project brings together the Viareggio builder and the German company known for automotive and luxury tuning, which enters the superyacht segment through this partnership. According to the group, BRABUS contributes its aesthetic research, a custom approach and its "One-Second-Wow" philosophy. AB Yachts adds its experience in developing, engineering and building high-performance boats capable of reaching 60 knots. The result is a range that the group aims at owners looking for sporting performance, technological innovation and comfort.
The M|38 measures 37.10 metres overall, with a beam of 8.20 metres and a full-load draught of 2.35 metres. Its gross tonnage is given as approximately 275 GT. Hull and superstructure are composite. Quartostile designed the exterior, and the interior was developed by Centro Stile Maiora with Acube Design. The yard says the model completes the principles of the M Line: elegance by subtraction, spatial continuity, visual permeability, invisible innovation and a direct relationship with the sea.
A full-beam bow and volumes shifted outwards change the proportions of the yacht, whose profile combines glazing, teak and horizontal lines. Much of the design work went into the stern. On the main deck the beach area continues from the cockpit. Fold-down bulwarks and a pool with a retractable walk-on cover allow it to be turned into a terrace over the water. Franco Carone, Matteo Broglia and Andrea Sartori of Quartostile explained the thinking behind it: "We wanted to eliminate the perception of a yacht made up of separate spaces and imagine a continuous organism, in which inside and outside are in constant dialogue and the sea becomes part of the living experience. The stern also comes from this philosophy: not as the end of the boat, but as a dynamic space, a true waterfront lounge that changes configuration and meaning throughout the day."
On the main deck, the saloon, cockpit and beach area are linked by large side windows and electric sliding doors in smoked mirror glass. Access to the engine room is placed in the corridor, which keeps the cockpit clear. The saloon covers about 51 square metres, with headroom between 2.25 and 2.35 metres, and the dining area has a table in Nero Belvedere marble. The full-beam owner's suite forward measures about 45 square metres. It includes a separable office and dressing area facing the sea, a vanity and a "his & hers" bathroom. The bathroom is made up of two independent rooms joined by a central shower 1.20 metres wide. The day head has full-height onyx walls and a travertine washbasin.
The yacht sleeps up to 12 guests in five cabins. Besides the owner's suite, the lower deck has two VIP and two guest cabins. The crew area has a crew mess, cabins with private bathrooms and technical spaces, and accommodates five people in three cabins. An extra cabin can be added on request to bring the crew to seven. The upper deck is walkaround from stern to bow. It houses an independent pilot house with a 180-degree view forward, the second helm station and the lift bar.
Inside, the geometry avoids sharp edges and the ceilings are lined with an eco-friendly Alcantara-effect material. The palette is based on beige and dark brown, with glossy petrol-coloured lacquered details. Materials include Marine Leather, ALPI woods, Listone Giordano parquet, Savema Fior di Bosco marble, onyx and Nero Belvedere marble. The lighting combines direct and indirect LED strips, Cantalupi spotlights and decorative lamps.
The technical specifications list two propulsion options. With twin MAN V12-2200 engines of 2,200 hp each, the stated top speed is 23 knots; with twin MTU 16V2000 M96L engines of 2,600 hp each, it rises to 28 knots. "More than a new model, M|38 represents a new idea of living the sea, confirming Maiora's growth and Next Yacht Group's ambition to set new benchmarks in the large yacht segment," said Giorgio Mattei, Deputy Chairman of Next Yacht Group.
Next Yacht Group was founded in 2021 and is part of the strategic project of GB Invest Holding AG. It has more than 67,000 square metres of production space in Massa and Viareggio. The recent acquisition of SIMAN, a company specialising in metalworking and mechanical engineering for the marine industry, added a further 40,000 square metres of facilities in Pisa and La Spezia. In Viareggio the group runs three production sites. They include its headquarters, with seven fitting-out berths and 1,750 square metres of offices, and the premises at Via Coppino 114, which have 800 square metres of lounges and a private quay for sea trials, deliveries and after-sales. According to the group, it has delivered more than 380 yachts and has 21 under construction. It employs more than 130 people, a 140% increase over the past four years.
