Quick Group is showing the completed range of QSY electric thrusters, the Pacific control series and the QCentric platform at the Cannes Yachting Festival. The show runs from 8 to 13 September 2026 and the company stand is at the Vieux Port, PAN357.
The QSY range gains several new models and a 215 mm tunnel that sits between the existing 185 mm and 250 mm versions. It now runs from the 12-volt BT QSY 140-50, which delivers 50 kgf of thrust through a 140 mm tunnel, to the 48-volt BT QSY 300-350, which reaches 350 kgf through a 300 mm tunnel. Power options are 12 V/24 V or 24 V/48 V depending on the model. According to the company, the range covers boats from 7-metre centre console dayboats to 30-metre yachts.
"These new models, together with the modularity that comes with the new 215 mm tunnel format, take the QSY range up to 350 kgf of thrust and allow builders to use the same brushless technology across a very wide range of boats up to 30 metres, or beyond that depending on hull geometry and weight, or if the builder opts for a twin thruster installation," says Lorenzo Mongiardo, Chief Technical Officer of Quick Group. "We listened to the market and developed each model to hit exactly the thrust level required."
The QSY thrusters use brushless synchronous motors with integrated inverters and native proportional control. Quick Group also lists immediate torque response, lower energy consumption, reduced maintenance and quieter running.
Launched alongside the thrusters, Pacific is a control interface series that works with all of the company's thruster ranges and has been tuned for the QSY line. It comes in three versions, T1, T1XL and T2XL, for different thruster configurations and yacht sizes. The two XL units take up the same space on the control console.
"When we developed the new controls we focused on ease of installation," Mongiardo says. "If a customer decides to upgrade by adding a stern thruster, and therefore an extra control lever, there is no need to cut a different sized hole in the console."
The Pacific series connects to third-party manoeuvring and control systems, including OEM platforms from Volvo Penta, Mercury Marine and Xenta, through dedicated gateways and NMEA 2000 compatible links.
The Pacific control is the first product to run on QCentric, the system architecture the company is presenting in Cannes. "QCentric is essentially a CAN bus protocol, but for us it is much more than that: it is an open, scalable ecosystem designed to connect products, functions and technologies through a shared architecture," Mongiardo explains. The platform is built to integrate Quick Group products such as thrusters, stabiliser fins and windlasses, while remaining open to systems from partners and other companies.
After Cannes, the three systems move to the Genoa International Boat Show, from 1 to 8 October 2026, at the stands in Padiglione B Superiore, TG20-TH19, and on the quayside, YE801A. They will then be shown at the IBEX Show in Tampa, Florida, from 6 to 8 October 2026, at stand 3-1547.
