Yacht Interior Summit 2026: the first technical summit on yacht and superyacht interiors in Papenburg

09/02/2026 - 10:06 in Yacht Design by Press Mare

At an international level, the superyacht sector is already accustomed to structured exchanges among shipyards, designers and stakeholders, but until now there has been no multi-day summit dedicated exclusively to yacht interior design. The Yacht Interior Summit was created to fill this gap, concentrating on layouts, materials, lighting engineering, onboard ergonomics, regulatory compliance and new interpretations of luxury applied to interior spaces.

The program includes presentations, round tables and operational workshops with speakers from both the yacht design sector and related industries. Confirmed speakers include Jim Dixon, Managing Director of Winch Design, Klaus Busse, Head of Design at Maserati, designer Christiano Gatto, Axel Hedemann, Head of Interior & Exterior at Abeking & Rasmussen, and Anders Kurten, CEO of Fraser Yachts.

The first day addresses topics related to the evolution of the luxury concept in yacht interiors, charter-oriented design approaches and onboard lighting solutions, with case studies and integrated design-function methodologies.

The second day focuses more on application and regulatory aspects, with sessions covering rules, compliance requirements, innovation driven by changing owner profiles and the management of design challenges along the entire chain, from concept to execution.

The third day is entirely dedicated to the host shipyard. Meyer Werft will open its facilities to participants for a technical tour of the Visitor Center and production plants. The program includes construction areas and technologically advanced shipbuilding projects. The visit will be supported by senior yard management, including Chief Sales Officer Thomas Weigend.

Yacht Interior Summit 2026 will be held in English. The participation fee is set at €2,995. Partners of the inaugural edition include Home & Marine Electronic Systems and Europlan Yacht Interiors.

The event is organized by the Berlin-based company RedCabin GmbH, active internationally in specialized interior design conferences for the aviation, rail and automotive sectors. With this summit, the format is extended to the yacht and superyacht industry with a technical and multidisciplinary approach.
