X-Yachts has unveiled the X4⁶ MkII, an updated model in the X-Range, designed to enhance sailing performance and comfort. The yacht introduces new features and design improvements, available at a base price of 579,000 euros excluding VAT.
The X4⁶ MkII represents a significant update in the X-Yachts lineup, focusing on enhancing the sailing experience through various design improvements. According to Peter Schmidt, Designer at X-Yachts, the aim was to improve the sailing experience in ways that are immediately noticeable to sailors, whether they are trimming sails, taking the helm, or relaxing in the cockpit.
A key feature of the X4⁶ MkII is the newly engineered mainsheet system with German sheeting, which enhances efficiency and control of the mainsheet traveller while reducing line clutter in the cockpit. This results in cleaner and safer sail handling.
The cockpit has been redesigned for greater comfort, featuring extended benches and longer coamings for improved seating ergonomics and support for the helmsman. The refined pedestal design and wider aft cockpit opening contribute to a more open and spacious feel.
The bow of the X4⁶ MkII now includes the signature S-bow seen in the latest Pure X models. This design not only enhances the yacht's aesthetic but also allows for larger anchors without compromising the deck's clean layout.
Kræn B. Nielsen, CEO of X-Yachts, emphasized the company's commitment to continuous development, stating that every new model and refinement is driven by the desire to push boundaries and set new standards for performance and quality.
Peter Schmidt added that the X4⁶ MkII is about thoughtful evolution, with small details collectively making a significant impact on the water.
