GX Superyachts has appointed Maurizio Magri as Chief Commercial Officer and Board member to lead the sales team during a period of growth. The company is preparing for the delivery of its first GX42 RPH yacht in 2026 and developing new projects.
Maurizio Magri joins GX Superyachts with extensive experience in the yachting industry, having held leadership roles in major Italian yachting brands. His career spans 40 years, during which he has launched start-ups, revitalized established brands, and enhanced sales performance. Magri's educational background includes the Naval Academy of Livorno, Italy, and Texas A&M University in Maritime Business Administration.
GX Superyachts, known for offering fully custom yachts ranging from 24m to 56m, is currently advancing its debut GX42 RPH yacht, which is expected to be delivered in 2026. Additionally, the company is working on the GX38 Voyager, which was recently unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show, and other projects like the GX34.
Magri's recent focus has been on the yachting sector, with roles at CBI Navi, Admiral, Technomar, and Wider. In these positions, he has demonstrated his ability to develop commercial strategies, refine brand positioning, and increase sales.
