Groupe Beneteau has announced the acquisition of BMS, a company known for its expertise in maintaining, customizing, and refitting large LAGOON catamarans. This acquisition, announced on October 8, 2025, aims to enhance Groupe Beneteau's service offerings in the Mediterranean region.

BMS, based in Canet-en-Roussillon, services over 50 Lagoon catamarans annually and generated €3.3 million in revenue in 2025. BMS will continue to operate under the leadership of its founders, Pascal Cantiran and Denis Ranjard, ensuring continuity and expertise.

This strategic move allows LAGOON, a brand of Groupe Beneteau, to expand its global service network, which currently includes seven centers, providing a reliable support point in the Mediterranean. Bruno Thivoyon, Chairman of Groupe Beneteau Executive Board, stated that the acquisition represents a significant step in enhancing their service offerings. Clément Himily, Managing Director of the Sailing Business Unit, emphasized the ambition to establish LAGOON as a global benchmark in customer support. Pascal Cantiran highlighted the complementary nature of the partnership, combining Groupe Beneteau's innovation with BMS's local expertise. Groupe Beneteau, founded 140 years ago, is a major player in the nautical industry with 16 production sites and a global sales network.

The Group reported €1 billion in sales in 2024 and employs over 6,500 people worldwide. BMS specializes in the maintenance and customization of LAGOON catamarans, while Lagoon is recognized as a leader in the cruising catamaran market, having built over 7,000 catamarans since 1984.
