With 711 boats on display for its 48th edition (until Sunday 6pm), the Cannes Yachting Festival shines a spotlight on a new generation of yachting. Among them, five models stand out for their sustainable innovations and commitment to more responsible navigation.

DHAMMA BLUE
POWER 076

The Dhamma Blue is a hydrogen-powered pleasure boat designed and built in Spain, marking a significant step forward in carbon-free navigation. This pioneering project stands out for its hybrid propulsion system, combining an electric motor and a hydrogen-powered fuel cell, offering a range of 65 nautical miles at 12 knots and a maximum speed of 28 knots. The boat stores hydrogen on board, and the only residue from its operation is water in the form of steam, ensuring zero-emission navigation. In addition to its ecological performance, the Dhamma Blue promises a quiet and comfortable sailing experience, ideal for sensitive ecosystems. With a length of 7.90 meters, it incorporates modern equipment and an elegant design, having already received several awards for its innovation in sustainable mobility.

MILLIKAN BOATS - M.10
POWER073

This new-generation catamaran from Millikan, designed to combine performance and autonomy, promises to transform the sailing experience. The M.10 sails silently, powered by 100% solar energy. With a capacity of 35 kWh of solar energy per day and 41 kWh of on-board batteries, it guarantees remarkable autonomy, allowing for long voyages without any dependence on fossil fuels. Beyond its technical prowess, the M.10 does not neglect comfort on board, offering everything necessary for a most enjoyable life at sea.

OCEAN DEVELOPPEMENT – MODX70
SAIL035

The MODX 70 redefines the standards of sustainable yachting. This 70-foot catamaran, powered by 100% renewable energy, incorporates cutting-edge technologies such as the Aeroforce wing, hydrogeneration, and 70 m² of solar panels, guaranteeing zero CO2 emissions while sailing. Designed by Ocean Development in collaboration with VPLP Design, the MODX 70 combines luxury, performance, and environmental friendliness. Its customizable interior design offers exceptional comfort with spacious and bright living areas, while its innovative exterior eliminates winches and ropes for maximum safety.

CATARUGA - TORTUE 147
SAIL020

Tortue 147 is an innovative and sustainable catamaran. Designed for long-distance sailing, it combines robustness, comfort, and ease of use. Its construction uses high-quality materials such as aluminum and paulownia wood. Aluminum, a metal made for the sea, offers lightness, corrosion resistance, and shock absorption, and is infinitely recyclable. Paulownia, often called “the tree of the future,” is a lightweight, moisture-resistant wood known for its rapid growth and ability to regrow, making it a truly sustainable choice. The boat incorporates technical innovations such as rostrum bows for improved hydrodynamics, a ballast system to optimize stability, and an ergonomic helm station. It is also energy self-sufficient thanks to a 5.5 kW solar panel.

VAAN YACHT - VAAN R5
SAIL025

The Vaan R5 is positioned as an aluminum catamaran that embodies a vision of sustainable and refined cruising. Designed for sea lovers who are conscious of their ecological footprint, it stands out for its extensive use of recycled materials, including aluminum that is 70% recycled. This innovative approach does not compromise performance in any way, with the R5 offering stable and efficient sailing. Its interior design, conceived for comfort and elegance, promises a luxurious and spacious onboard experience.
