The world’s premier photography competition dedicated to the sport of sailing is proud to unveil its international jury for 2025. Once again, the event will bring together the sport’s most talented marine photographers from across the globe. The prize-giving ceremony will be held in public during the Yacht Racing Forum on 21 November in Amsterdam.
The Pantaenius Yacht Racing Image Award today announced the members of its international jury:

Niels Klarenbeek (NED), Director, Metstrade
These industry leaders, media and sailing professionals will have the challenging task of selecting the best sailing photograph of the year.
Now in its 16th edition, the competition is open to professional photographers from all over the world, who are invited to submit their finest image captured between 14 October 2024 and 12 October 2025.
The 80 best images, as chosen by the jury, will be published on the event’s website on 20 October, after which the public will have until 14 November to vote for their favourite.
The 20 best images will be showcased at Metstrade in Amsterdam from 18 to 20 November. The winners will be revealed and celebrated during the Yacht Racing Forum on 21 November.
Two awards will be presented, each accompanied by prize money:
Pantaenius Yacht Racing Image Award – Chosen by the international jury:
1st place: €1,500
2nd place: €750
3rd place: €250
Public Award – Determined by online voting:
Winner: €500
Additional prizes may also be awarded to photographers attending the prize-giving ceremony.
Photographers have until midnight on 12 October to submit their entries via the event website.
