World Sailing, the world governing body of the sport, has set up an official GoFundMe page to support the Ukrainian sailing community.

The Support our Sailors GoFundMe page will provide much needed financial aid from the global sailing community as we stand in solidarity and assist our Ukrainian friends in this time of need.

“World Sailing has a duty to provide support for its athletes at a time when so many have been forced to flee or left unable to return home while competing overseas,” said David Graham, World Sailing CEO.

“Funds will be donated to the Sailing Federation of Ukraine, so that they can help the sailors to continue training and participate in competitions they have worked so hard to qualify for, so that they can represent their country with pride during such a difficult period.”
